We're the Sassafras Sisters from Olympia, WA. We started playing old time and fiddle music from a very young age, and over the years we've been immersed in jams, square dances, and music festivals all over the country. Some of the biggest female inspirations to us are Alice Gerrard, Rayna Gellert, First Aid Kit, Gillian Welch, and Emmylou Harris, and we try to emulate and honor their music.
